SMOKING AND PREGNANCY
Smoking during pregnancy has extremely negative effects on the baby and pregnancy.
In pregnant women who smoke during pregnancy;
- preterm labor
- Early discharge of amniotic fluid (premature rupture of membranes)
- Growth retardation of the baby in the womb (intrauterine growth retardation)
- Sudden death of the baby in the womb (intrauterine exitus)
- Pregnancy poisoning (preeclampsia)
- Hypertension
- Prenatal separation of the placenta (abruptio placentae)
- Having respiratory distress after birth (respiratory distress)
- It embraces many negativities such as fatal respiratory distress (RDS) as a result of the failure of the lungs of babies born prematurely.
