Sevil Unal

IVF Laboratory Director

Sevil Unal was born in 1973 in Edirne. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Biology in 2006; However, her career intersected with IVF much earlier, between 1994-1998 at Ankara Sevgi Hospital.

Between 2000 and 2012, she worked as the responsible embryologist for the last 5 years of her working life at Istanbul Şişli Memorial Hospital IVF Center. Later, she worked as the responsible embryologist at Acıbadem Maslak Hospital IVF Center between 2012-2016.

During his IVF career, he was interested in sperm morphology selection for ICSI, development of embryos in a co-culture environment, embryo blastocyst development and embryo selection for transfer, embryo freezing and thawing. At the same time, he took active roles in the in vitro fertilization laboratory of a-CGH and NGS methods, which enable embryo tracking with Embryoscope and screening of all chromosomes for the detection of genetic diseases in embryos.

As of the beginning of 2017, she took an active role in the restructuring of the Istanbul Women's Health and IVF Center and continues her career as IVF Laboratory Director.
